Janyaa Youth Chapter – Pleasanton
Pleasanton Youth Chapter
Ashika Deshmukh is the President of the Pleasanton Youth Chapter founded in May 2022. Aditya Reddy, is the vice president of the chapter. They are both sophomores at Foothill High School. Ashika, Aditya, and their friends started this chapter because they are passionate about providing equal education and opportunities to children across the world. Since their founding in 2022 they have raised over $3000 for Janyaa and they continue to raise more through events like lemonade stands, bake sales, and movie nights.
The other chapter members include Suma Vutukury, Ananya Yarlagadda, Dheeksha Baskaran, Sahana Nagandla, Lalima Duddu, Anushree Theetharappan, Neti Vyas, and Alekhya Kodali.

Janyaa Youth Chapter – Almaden
Almaden Youth Chapter
Saanvi Adusumalli is the President of the youth chapter in Almaden. She is a senior at Leland High School. Saanvi formed the chapter in 2022 and started working with her team to raise funds and awareness for Janyaa. Their team loves working with children and is a firm believer of empowering the young and the underprivileged through education.

Janyaa Youth Chapter – Cupertino
Cupertino Youth Chapter
Arnav Thota is the President of the youth chapter in Cupertino. He formed a team with his friends in February 2023. Arnav and his team attends Lynbrook High School and started their youth chapter to help raise funds and awareness for underprivileged kids in India receive education in STEM fields. This team loves working with children and has experience in hosting robotics classes and other STEM workshops.

Janyaa Youth Chapter – Palo Alto
Palo Alto Youth Chapter
Aarav Doddapaneni is the President of the Palo Alto Youth Chapter. He started the chapter in June 2023 with a group of young volunteers committed to making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children. Under Aarav’s leadership, the chapter worked to create a Janyaa Learning Hub STEM kit with over 40 math and science experiments. This kit was then donated to a local underprivileged youth center. They also organize creative fundraising events like organizing online gaming nights, selling Janyaa merchandise, and selling slime etc. They also do awareness campaigns like hosting booths at local events. Through their efforts, the Palo Alto Youth Chapter has managed to raise over $1500 in the past year.

Janyaa Youth Chapter – SR
San Ramon Youth Chapter
Saanvi Putrevu is the president of the San Ramon Youth Chapter. She started the chapter in the summer of 2023 and formed a team to raise awareness and funds for Janyaa. Most of this team attends Dougherty Valley High School. This team is very passionate about Janyaa’s cause and are able to relate to it because they share a common love for providing education equity and believe that it is crucial for success for underprivileged communities. They raise funds by creative fundraisers like community talent shows, movie nights and collaborating with Panera Bread etc.

North Carolina Youth Chapter
Rutvi Zoya Karanam is the president of the youth chapter in North Carolina and a junior at Green Level High School. She started the chapter in summer of 2024 and formed a team to promote the cause. Her team is passionate about education and believes in the power of providing opportunities for growth to students from underprivilaged communities.

Pinewood School Youth Chapter
Lacey Armistead is the president of the youth chapter at Pinewood School. The Pinewood Youth Chapter is a club centered at Pinewood School. The members meet often and collaborate to fundraise money as well as undertake other Janyaa activities. It was founded around September 2023 and continues to grow. They raise funds from the Pinewood school community by hosting creative fundraising events like selling Slime, freeze dried candy and face painting etc. They have collectively raised over $1000 in the past year.

Gerrit Siwabessy is the president of the chapter and is currently a junior at Del Norte High School. Founded in 2023, the Janyaa San Diego Chapter is Janyaa’s first Southern California chapter and is committed to Janyaa’s mission of serving underprivileged youth through quality education. This chapter has held multiple fundraisers to support Janyaa and raised +$1000 in its first year.

Los Altos Youth Chapter
Madeleine Bakken and Justin IP are the Co-Presidents of the youth chapter in Los Altos. They both attend Homestead High School in Los Altos and formed a team with their like-minded friends to form the chapter. Through Janyaa this chapter wants to help make advancements in children’s education. They are passionate to empower children who don’t have the same opportunities as them.

Meera Minocha is the President of the youth chapter in Saratoga and founded it alongside seven other friends. Founded in fall of 2024, the saratoga chapter is committed to Janyaa’s mission of serving underprivileged youth through quality education. Silicon Valley Youth Chapter
Madeleine Bakken is the President of Janyaa Silicon Valley Youth Chapter. She is an upcoming Senior at Homestead High School. Maddie took a leadership role to mentor other youth chapters in the Silicon Valley. This chapter hosts quarterly knowledge sharing workshops and upskills other youth chapters about various topics like STEM video recordings and editing, and how to optimize the fundraising strategies. She is also the lead for hosting the Janyaa Summer Social event to bring the Youth chapters and donor community together at one place.
