Ashika Deshmukh is the President of the youth chapter in Pleasanton. She is an 8th grader in Pleasanton Middle School. She joined Janyaa because she is passionate about experiential learning and wants to promote quality education to the underprivileged children across the world. She also believes that everyone should have equal access to education.

Janyaa Youth Chapter – Los Altos

Madeleine Bakken and Justin IP are the Co-Presidents of the youth chapter in Los Altos. They both attend Homestead High School in Los Altos and formed a team with their like-minded friends to form the chapter. Through Janyaa this chapter wants to help make advancements in children’s education. They are passionate to empower children who don’t have the same opportunities as them.

Janyaa Youth Chapter – Silicon Valley

Madeleine Bakken is the President of Janyaa Silicon Valley Youth Chapter. She is an upcoming Senior at Homestead High School. Maddie took a leadership role to mentor other youth chapters in the Silicon Valley. This chapter hosts quarterly knowledge sharing workshops and upskills other youth chapters about various topics like STEM video recordings and editing, and how to optimize the fundraising strategies. She is also the lead for hosting the Janyaa Summer Social event to bring the Youth chapters and donor community together at one place.

Janyaa Youth Chapter – Cupertino

Arnav Thota is the President of the youth chapter in Cupertino. He formed a team with his friends at Lynbrook High School to help underprivileged kids in India receive education in STEM fields. This team loves working with children and has experience in hosting robotics classes and other STEM workshops.
