Peer Learning Sessions for Children

“We retain 5% of lecture, 50% of what we see and hear, and 80% of what we experience.”
– Educational neuroscience consultant David Sousa (2011)
Unless you experience, you cannot benefit nearly as much. That is why we host peer learning sessions for children to help them practice with the experiments they were taught by teachers in the classroom. Our Janyaa facilitators ensure each child gets an opportunity to practice at least once a week.
I visited one of these sessions in early February this year. I could see that the children were enjoying the sessions. They were all super eager to explain the concepts they were learning to me. We are very pleased with the progress we are making to improve the retention rate of these children.
